I think someone wrote that we're living in the terror of the present or something. Cause we're mostly not even really present in the moment but think of the next thing. The next event. The next place to go to. It's not that we don't have enough time we have too many things to do (or at least we believe so). In that sense the present time (grammatically) is funny because the second you say something it's already past.
