I decided to reminisce on the experience of trying to be less a slave of the devices for over a year now. It's absolutely possible, although it also makes it very apparent how normalized it's become to just stare at a screen when there's a real human right opposite you (who's feeling awful sitting through this as the lesser interesting despite being physically present).
