Golden light drips from apples, runs over leaves like a vow. We reach— find only the fruit’s cool shadow, immortality scented like first rain. Evening quilts the day. Beauty brief, paradise passing, half a step beyond the heart. Daughters of twilight smile, t ending desire till it glows— then dim it, gently. The west is the hidden rim.
