The most significant economic indicators this week are the consumer price index (CPI) and the producer price index (PPI). These are important indicators to see how much the tariff war initiated by Trump since April has been reflected in the market. Even if the figures match expectations or come in slightly above, given that U.S.-China trade negotiations are still ongoing and the G7 summit is scheduled for next week, I think the market will react by viewing this as something that will eventually pass rather than the worst-case scenario, so it’s unlikely that stock prices will plummet.
