1) A habit is a routine or behavior that is performed regularly and, in many cases, automatically. The more a habit becomes a part of your life, the less you need outside encouragement to follow through.

3) The Plateau of Latent Potential: In order to make a meaningful difference, habits need to persist long enough to break a critical threshold. The most powerful outcomes of any compounding process are delayed. You need to be patient.
4) The Habit Loop: The process of building a habit can be divided into 4 steps: cue, craving, response and reward. The cue triggers a craving, which motivates a response, which provides a reward, which satisfies craving and, ultimately, becomes associated with the cue.
