So I might well be hated for this one. But I'm willing to risk the seethe. This cycle will be dominated by the war between OP Superchain & zkEVM AggLayer. Right now, OP has a very sizeable lead; and I think with Base & Blast, it'll win the war for retail overall. However, ZK is the elephant in the room - tech that arrived 5-10 years ahead of schedule. While quite costly compared to OP, it offers mainnet equivalent security coupled with optimistic level speeds. A further narrative to this will be that ZK prices will continue to come down - potentially rivalling that of optimistic rollups over time. As the altcoin space continues searching for a narrative for our game of musical chairs, I see the OP vs. ZK war playing a huge part in that. And like any good weapons manufacturer, we should always ensure we're exposed to profits from both sides of the battle. I've been rolling my perps profits into MATIC spot; It's below every long-term support, which to me indicates a euphoric underpriced entry zone.

I saw someone on CT actually make a pretty valid albeit depressing point on it; "TIA is the LINK of this cycle, take that for what you will". I think it put in an absolutely behemoth early performance in terms of pure price action, which was great to bring in eyes but it may be very difficult to repeat that kinda success again in this cycle. Celestia is built on top of Polygon's ZK CDK, but with their own data availability solution (which Poly have now integrated into their own stack); they're also poised to be connected to Polygon's AggLayer, which will greatly increase the amount of available liquidity on there. I still think TIA is a good bet overall for this cycle, but I think the r/r would favour MATIC/POL - because if TIA wins, MATIC/POL inevitably wins too.
