Hi Nico, I totally disagree with your opinion. NFT is a tool, is an asset standard, low liquidity is a feature. In my opinion, there are 2 main problems for NFT:
1. The core of NFT isn't the asset standard, it's content. High quality game desin and large players is the fundamental of CS2 skin market's success. Only having a good liquidity model is useless. But there is very little high-quality content willing to use NFT as a issue tool.
2. Why no high-quality content, because we still could not provide enough usage scenarios. Ppl who buy a NFT collectible find it neither convenient for them to appreciate themselves nor to show the NFT to others, sociability cannot be achieved.
For example, There were a lot of stars launched their NFT in the past few years, but their fans were not interested with the NFT. This is not because the liquidity model is bad, but because the NFT is useless for fans. Let's imagine, if the mainstream social platforms have supported to use NFT as Avatar, or holders can post NFT in the platforms like they post words and images to show their onwership of NFTs, the Star NFTs will be attractive for fans, they will buy it and set the NFT for avatar to show to others. Only with this foundation can there be long-term market trading and speculation value, and liquidity model can come into play. 0 reply
