But seriously. Coinbase card is tied to your Coinbase account, so you’re spending your CEX funds. Whereas, MM card is managed via your own wallet - you’re your own bank. Major drawback is the 200 USD annual fee for MM card, but you get 3% cashback on your spending.

For now I have my Coinbase card setup to withdraw from the bank account I use to fund my Coinbase account. I can get 4.5% APY holding USDC on my CB account, so I’m probably going to start transferring more of my income to CB and hold as USDC. I can then withdraw from my USDC to pay the credit card. I at least get some yield that way as opposed to nothing from my checking. Banks should be panicking.

Oh forgot about yield. Similar with MM, you can stake in aave and spend your avUSDC, just like your would USDC. It’s something like 2.8% for cardholders.
