This morning I saved a puppy. Biking down a major road just a couple of blocks from work and I see a black lab puppy off leash running through the street. A couple of people were looking at it, and I noticed a few police officers trying to corner it unsuccessfully. Almost late for work, my priorities immediately changed and I followed the dog, doing everything I could to keep it out of the road. Followed it about a mile where it ran across the street to a park. Fortunately it was interested in the other dogs there and I was able to get the owners attempt to grab its collar. When we got him, I picked him up and carried him, the sweetest most delicate little baby. I carried him over to a public works truck who was happy to help keep him safe and call the police to get the dog back to its owners. I don't have any pictures of it but that puppy will forever be in my memory!

Thank you for doing what most would completely ignore in today's society... or so I think. It's always the "someone will get it safe to a place" but no one truly moves forward, and that's very very sad.

For real... Honestly that was the saddest part... I was hollering to all the passers-by " he's a runaway, stop him if you can!" People barely even reacted me saying words to them. That's why I ran a mile- nobody else fucking helped except for one dog owner in the park. It was insane. It's like people just don't turn their brains on.

Right?! I wonder what could potentially be worse to impact people than an animal or human, any kind of being, being in serious danger. Not having the minimum sensability or empathy to it bothers me sooo much...
