personally, I think it's best at times to plays six degrees of bacon, because we're, all of us, in the mess. do I boycott all economies 1 degree away from artisanal mining? 2? where does the buck stop? honestly hope that the market catches up to elon musk & the brainpower in his portcos. what alternative is there?

I think we're all desperately addicted to the meme of capitalist growth. There are feasible alternatives but it would mean massive changes to how we view the economy and function as a society.

Yep I agree with you. Its about as feasible as peace in the middle east. Only takes a couple seeds to spread the weeds so to speak.

I understand where you're coming from, but generally speaking, other people aren't plastic enough to adopt entirely different societal structures. this may seem feasible in theory, but w/ all global resources & participants, there is no monopoly on violence & this best at household/neighborhood level.
