POV: Your parents are African and they can smell a lie before you say it.

Once lied to my Mum i was sick, she carried me to school, told the teacher to flog me for arriving late.

African mom has an inbuilt lie detector you can ever imagine. 

My mom told me to put dried fish inside the sun one morning, she told me the fish is 15.
Lo and behold I counted the fish it was 16. i was happy that my mum made a mistake counting it, not knowing it was a trap.
In the evening she checked the fish and was so happy that i did a good job. 
She counted it and say mutty you’ve ate one out of this fish. I said no o. It was 15, she said no it was 16. 
She actually use Yoruba to tell me the 16, and in Yoruba 16 and 15 sounds dsame.
