@murdo
I spent far too long in the Apple Store waiting for my battery replacement (success) and HomePod fix (dud). Some observations.
1/ iPhone Air is wild to hold in-person - if I’d looked at the first, I might well have been walking out with one.
2/ Vision Pro stations are now plush waiting areas for Genius Bar appointments.
3/ Every new Pro I picked up was all scratched up on the back side.
4/ AirPod Pros are running out the doors.
5/ Two hours without my iPhone was odd. watchOS 26 is not reliable enough to be a primary device (AirPods wouldn’t stay connected, can’t easily change basic things like playback speed, mail refused to refresh). Hunting for wifi was a nostalgic experience too.
6/ HomePod bricked after updating software and their answer was “wanna spend $99 to replace it”… Back in the day I had iPod Classic’s replaced for free.
7/ Normies are an odd bunch. One guy wouldn’t get his iPhone replaced because he didn’t trust Apple to recycle it properly. Another claimed his iPhone’s battery was loose.
