So far, robots and artificial intelligence don't have real feelings, emotions, or consciousness like humans do. They can:
- Simulate emotions (for example, a chatbot can write "I'm sad," but it's just a text generated by an algorithm).
- Analyze the tone of voice or text and adjust to the mood of a person (as voice assistants).
- Learn from data, including people's emotional reactions, but without personal experience.
But why?
- Robots do not have biology (brain, hormones) that creates emotions.
- AI works on mathematics and data, not on subjective experience.
But in the future, if artificial consciousness appears, the issue will become more complicated. For now, robots are just tools. 2 replies
