Thank you. Lots of folks are losing motivation.  What’s the best way to repost suspicious behavior?

reminds me of when i participated in a panel on "growing your farcaster account" at farawaycon in london a couple years ago (weird, i know, but all the A players were in LA for farcon proper 🤣)

my take was, cast as often and as authentically as possible to find your voice & audience NOW while it's still "JV social media" vibes, because if/when fc takes off and the social media influencer varsity squad starts playing, it's game over for us plebs (similar for defi once the hardcore quants from tradfi decide it's time to play)

no question, there are people/accounts gaming the leaderboard; but at the same time, i think more attention economy professionals are poking around and so we're going to see disruption to the status quo, particularly if farcaster remains a "single app" social network

building /quidli 🦑, casting in /justinahn, daoing in /🍊 & /🟪

Where do the summer school / metal shop/ detention rejects fit into that situation?

a lot of people liken it to a village (as opposed to not yet a major city), but i do think high school is a more apt comparison!

The leaderboard rewards culture and behavior reminds me of the competitive snarkiness of facebook's tit for tat combined with the high school lunchroom. Fun to see people getting worked up over something.

It's a beautiful thing

i thought channels was a great outlet for that, let nerds be nerds in their stairwells à la reddit

but without more tooling and the massive appeal of fc rewards, it seems we're all being forced to show up to prom whether we want to or not 😆
