UAE foreign minister hosting the Taliban the same week he also hosted the Syrian and Israeli foreign ministers. I find many aspects of UAE foreign policy troubling and objectionable but it’s kind of impressive that they have set themselves up as interlocutors for everyone in the region. Smart policy.
