Horrible yet funny facts about Iran (3) Yesterday a new law was passed in Iran allowing up to 10 years in jail & $2300 fines for uncovered women’s hair. And guess what? the average monthly income here is $307 FYI fine for running a red light is $5.6 So yeah showing hair is 410x more dangerous than a traffic violation. This is the circus we live in This is happening after 2 years of widespread civil disobedience against mandatory hijab

As a woman, I believe there shouldn’t be a law requiring you to cover your hair just because you’re a woman, or dictating how you should dress. On the other hand, I also think women shouldn’t go outside almost naked as they sometimes do in my country, and then demand respect when they don’t seem to respect themselves 🙄 Well, that’s just my opinion. What can I say? It feels unfair that women don’t have the same rights in all countries. 55 $Degen

Imo being fully covered or almost naked aren’t about right or wrong. What truly matters, what every human deserves, is the freedom to choose. Nothing erodes the sense of being human more than restrictions on the freedom
