When Genghis Khan was a boy, his father was poisoned by a rival tribe and died shortly thereafter. If that never happened I suspect the world today would be a very different place. For example, it’s estimated 0.5% of the world’s male population (16 million people) likely carry Genghis Khan’s Y-chromosome. Most of those guys probably wouldn’t exist.
