Cross laminated timber is an emerging replacement for concrete and steel. Similar strength, faster build times, smaller carbon footprint I have a place in my heart for the look of concrete and motivations of brutalism but understand the popular resistance. The look of timber incorporated in our buildings will help engage the public especially as clt is used for more homes. Have to figure acoustic performance.
