I actually find it nuts when people think I'm trolling or insane on my views regarding prediction markets and their usefulness by... citing actual readings and discussions from the OGs who built cryptocurrency technology and discussed extensively why they are useful, highlighting the cost benefit analysis of people trading information privately. Insider trading where someone has a measurable difference in information is the *entire point* of prediction markets. People are incentives financially to move the markets to reveal their stronger information at the expense of speculators and hedging. Information that is hidden, will eventually come out via traditional markets when these events are realized. Prediction markets are designed to help reveal information *before events it happens* and allow people to deal with effects accordingly.
