EFF should come to Farcaster after the fork. Leaving twitter is a bit of a mistake, but they are right. Twitter is an awful product if you actually think about who it serves and how the algorithms are setup to generate profits. It's not a good source of information anymore, and doesn't actually serve people who just want to keep in touch with friends.
Also, they are kind of showing their hand by remaining on Bluesky which is arguably similar product in terms of digital freedom.
If they were really going cypherpunk they would start an IRC server.
