1. Build something people use but won't pay for, then a larger industry company steals your moat and makes a competing project sending your project to zero. 2. Raise money to build something no one will use, then fail upwards into a larger company to give that company the learnings and experience at the expense of venture capital. They will never give you money again, but you have a sweet job.
