New Day, New Farcaster Network Analysis. I had a rough idea that maybe using some off the shelf community detection would generate some botnet findings. First, I ran one and got a very nice defined set of "communities". In the below graphic, each community is a single node of users, and the number above is the number of users in that community. I'm calling this a meta-network and in the rest of the posts, I'll refer to each community by it's size. Also I have linked the size of the edges as the number of interactions between the communities. For example, there's a strong connection between [9666] and [9091]. In any case, you can see there's a very large community in [9666] that has stronger connections to a bulk of the other users, but you can see they don't have super strong connections between themselves. For example, there's a low connection between [6112] and [4167]. Let's skip the nonsense and get right into [164] that has NO CONNECTIONS TO ANYONE!! 😂
