EIP-7702 will catapult smart contract accounts on Ethereum and L2s, and I’m excited to see it in action.
However it will just be a step towards true AA, since 7702 still requires a seed phrase, limited account recovery and other EOA limitations.
The drawback of using ERC-4337 is the increased gas cost, but in L2s, the increase is mostly negligible.
