got a garmin to try and after 2-weeks can confirm: 1. nothing beats apple watch when it comes to accuracy across hr and sleep (while compared to medical grade devices). 2. garmin better at gps and battery. 3. for weightlifting, just use a chest strap eg polar h10.

Interesting insights! For weightlifting, do you find the chest strap more reliable than wrist-based monitors, even for general HR tracking?
