example for the poker app. i have a few options right now to do invites when the invitee hasn’t turned on notifs (which will be often): 1. send a public “i challenge you” cast to the feed that tags the player you want to invite 2. send the invitee a DC from the game’s account (which likely goes to DC requests) 3. prompt a DC to the invitee from the user’s account (presumably won’t go to requests) i guess 1 is ideal in the interim because it spreads the game? idk, should just be able to notify anyone tho IMO

yeah 1 is your best bet now for some virality. i actually dont think any mini app should be able to notify any user, because it would be abused to hell by all the scummy mini apps like most of the ones you see on the top of the trending list.

the same problem exists for DCs tho, and they solve that with a requests folder. i think that makes sense here too! there are plenty of examples where you might not want to post publicly (like inviting someone to host an event with you, or join a non-public event)
