Rainbow Mountains of the Andes in Peru

The Vinicunca Mountains, the Seven-Colored Mountains, in Peru were discovered five years ago and are now a popular tourist destination for visitors. Although the trek is daunting, if you can survive the long hikes and grueling altitudes, you will be treated to a unique natural wonder. The thick rainbow lines painted on the mountains are due to the accumulation of minerals dating back millions of years.
