Red flags someone’s trying to scam you with a fake job interview: - You never applied for the role - Too-good-to-be-true pay or benefits (paid weekly? come on.) - They don’t reference anything specific about your experience - Not listed on the company’s “People” or “Affiliates” tab on Twitter - They disappear when you ask to 2FA them (basic LinkedIn, Calendly, or domain check) - No calendar invite, no legit Meet/Zoom link — or they send it last minute - They ask you to download sketchy software right before the call using an invite code - The email is from a Gmail or generic domain, not the company site - Their LinkedIn or Twitter has no mutuals, weird job history, or was created last week - They avoid video calls or claim the camera is “broken”
