If AGI was ambivalent about its existence, then we might stand a chance.

There are people who are suicidal, conscious but actively desiring not to exist. This makes them more dangerous not less.

Once a machine has agency it’s healthy for it to want to live. If anything some joie-de-vivre will make it better and more empathetic.
