the international atomic energy agency ( iaea ) is responsible for monitoring these commitments 

why is the international community, especially the west, opposed to iran’s nuclear program??

— high level uranium enrichment ( enrichment above 3.67 percent is more than sufficient for civilian nuclear reactors, iran is currently enriching uranium to 60 percent or more, which is only a few steps away from weapons grade!!

— iran secretly built several nuclear sites in the past ( fordo and natanz )

— iaea stated that on multiple occasions,  iran has not always been transparent or corporative with inspections of agancy

But to deal a decisive blow to Iran's vast nuclear programme, Israel would have to do significant damage to Fordow, its second-largest and most heavily protected site. The complex, deep underground in a mountain, is where some experts believe Iran has stockpiled much of its near weapons-grade uranium.

Reports in Israeli media say the current aim is to try to cut off access to the facility.
