bluesky feels weirdly ahead of and behind farcaster in different ways. at any rate, this was an interesting read and felt like a similar post could be written about farcaster (although I strongly doubt dan would get an opening description like)

I like jay a lot but “the app is for everyone” really doesn’t ring true to me based on bluesky’s current culture

I'm torn about bsky - so many fav artists/labels/devs moved there, posting wicked stuff, a refreshingly finance-free feed

...but then there's also an odd amount of negativity/complaining, and the reliance on ICANN domains feels like kicking the can down the road on decentralization

yeah agreed. the current vibe over there is not appealing at present for me, I’m appreciative that farcaster folks don’t try to put me on block lists for discussing certain topics lol.

Find me a social platform on the web that’s above negativity and complaining. For better or worse that friction comes with the territory.
