About $bring Token:  

1/ The Bring token was launched via @clanker on Base in Jan 2025. The goal was to experiment with token distribution and build out a zkTLS-powered airdrop platform.

2/ After two iterations of zkTLS airdrops, we shifted focus. We realized that with zkTLS verifications we can tackle one of the biggest problems in the crypto space: Sybil attacks.

3/ The new scope required a different technical approach: more robust privacy guarantees and a trustless decentralized network. We began building BringID, leveraging MPC-TLS and Semaphore ZK proofs to privately verify real internet users.

4/ Like all Clanker tokens at the time, initially 100% of $bring was added to a Uniswap LP. No premine, no VCs. The team acquired ~38% on the open market, like everyone else.

5/ Half of that 38% is held by the core team to incentivize long-term development of the protocol. The other half is reserved for growth incentives as BringID rolls out.

6/ Today, the token has no utility. It may be used in the future to coordinate and incentivize a decentralized proof-of-humanity network.

7/ This is an experiment.
Instead of raising from VCs and negotiating MM deals, we launched from day 0 and started building.

8/ 40% of Uniswap LP fees go to the team. Our only funding. We’re seeing if, in the age of AI, that can be enough to build a meaningful protocol with a tiny team.
