🕊️ Short Sermon: "It Is Well With My Soul & I'm Undefeated" Beloved, today we declare a bold truth: It is well with my soul, and I am undefeated. This isn’t just a feel-good statement—it’s a declaration of faith forged in the fire of life’s battles. When Horatio Spafford penned the hymn "It Is Well With My Soul," he had just lost his children at sea. Yet from the depths of sorrow, he found a supernatural peace that only God can give. You see, being "undefeated" doesn’t mean life never knocked you down. It means the enemy couldn’t keep you down. You’ve been hit, but you’re still here. You’ve cried, but your faith remained. You’ve been through the storm, but your soul has peace because it’s anchored in Christ. Romans 8:37 reminds us: "In all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us." That means you don’t just survive—you overcome. You thrive. You rise! Stay Blessed. Sincerely M.A.

The system isn’t fair. Let’s not lie about it. The scouts aren’t coming to every neighborhood. The scholarships aren’t handed out equally. But if you let that stop you—if you let that bitterness bury your dream—then they win. So what do we do? We build our field wherever we can find space. We train with what we’ve got. And we lift each other, because when one of us makes it out, that’s not luck—that’s a message: “We can do this.” You might be poor. But you are not powerless. You’ve got a story that makes your journey stronger. And every rep, every throw, every step you take on that dusty path is a warning to the world: “I wasn’t given a chance. I made one.” So walk tall. Swing hard. And if you fall, get up swinging. Because even when you come from nothing—especially when you come from nothing—you’ve got everything to prove, and lose nothing.

Some of us weren’t born on green grass. We were born on cracked pavement, in neighborhoods where baseballs are scuffed, gloves are worn thin, and hope feels like a luxury we can’t afford. But let me tell you something real: Diamonds are made under pressure. You don’t need a $300 bat to learn how to swing. You don’t need a personal trainer to develop heart. What you need is already in you: that fight, that grit, that drive to keep throwing even when nobody’s watching, even when nobody believes you’ll make it.

Positive self-belief: It's important to differentiate between focusing on yourself and completely ignoring others. While the desire to be independent is valuable, remember that healthy relationships and support can also be crucial for success. Balance: Focus on achieving your goals and proving yourself right, rather than solely focusing on proving others wrong. Constructive criticism: Learn to discern helpful criticism from negativity and use it to improve your approach.
