I have a friend that did something “interesting”… They had 7 UTP cables placed on logical camera placement. thinking we can power these via PoE (we can). But for some reason they completely forgot ANY UTP cabling inside the house, totally assuming they could just do wireless meshing... The luck is that the camera placements (at lest 5 of them) are relatively good for placing a wifi unit as well, so my thinking is to place a PoE powered wifi point, with PoE out to power the actual camera… But what do I need for it? Which access point is able to live outside and both have PoE in and out?

As far as I know there’s no PoE out AP, even in Cisco world. What some of them have is a USB out for IoT devices.

Oh you mean the in walls, sorry! Jumped to conclusions… Maybe adding some outdoor cover/casing to it? But those are relatively expensive, a glance on google ranges from 30-80 usd though…
