We had another successful Decentral Park meetup on Tuesday night! @tbsocialist (author of Blockchain Radicals and co-founder of Bread Coop) and Beth McCarthy (Program Director of Web3Privacy) led a workshop where we looked at global case studies of municipal socialism through a technology & sovereignty angle, and then used them as inspiration to draft decentralized tech proposals for a progressive NYC administration. Some of the ideas we brainstormed: - Community pension fund management - Using EBT rails to give the city privacy-safe data to spot price gouging and plan city-run groceries - Community owned and operated broadband infrastructure Come join us in future nyc meetups, our tg link is below :) https://decentralpark.nyc/ https://bit.ly/decentralparkTG

We all make the city legible to us in small ways that make sense to us. That’s important, and we should keep doing it. https://open.substack.com/pub/miawintam/p/notice-the-invisible-infrastructure?r=cg2qk&utm_medium=ios
