I’ve been “unmotivated” to go on long runs as much as I used to last year. Last year I was really averaging 2 half marathons per month and so far this year we are reaching half the year and I’ve only been “able” to do 2 I keep telling myself -nah I don’t feel like it 1/

But yesterday as I was simply putting thought in where im at in life, i noticed I got a little bit soft. I let some win’s make me forget that I didn’t go on runs because I wanted, but because I wanted to push myself. Because I needed to push myself and use those wins to build myself up. 2/

In reality, if you ever ask me why I run so much, I will usually answer that I hate running and that I just do it because it helps me keep myself in track. I mostly do it so I can look back at it and be able to say “fuck yeah, i did that. Not many can but I pushed myself to be able” and I really need that 3/
