One year ago I switched from iterm2 to warp (https://www.warp.dev/) and it is still to this day one of the best new tooling addition that improved my life. Ability to just use mouse to select a piece of command to edit, much better search than the default bash/zsh, AI autocompletion, and much more. And it just looks damn cool

i was about to switch to alacrity, but switched to kitty after looking at the github issues and how badly all the people are treated there. it's actually hilarious.

I moved from warp to wez couple of weeks ago. really liked warp, but it starts to feel like its becoming more commercial and pay2win

I heard this from a lot of people, and I must agree that the fact that you need to have an account to start using it can feel weird. But tbh I never felt any pressure on paying for any of the pro features, and it just works perfectly for me. A tool that does everything I could dream of from a shell/terminal. Will check out wez

I loved the AI feature in warp, but it's not very generous for free. Pretty much was the final straw to me to move again

I'm on a free plan and honestly never felt like I need the AI features. Their search and autocomplete is still amazing, You can achieve a similar results only by installing bunch of third party plugins to iterms2 and then tinkering with the config on top of that. And even then it probably won't be as feature rich
