my opinion on sustainable, programmatic tipping is that eventually we'll see all USDC tippers fade away we're rn at 40% usdc, 60% everything else wrt to volumes altruism is good. but not sustainable, it won't meet pmf over the long, long run you'll eventually see usdc tippers churn (i say this while we have 94% d30 retention) and people who create / associate / belong to token communities will have the highest incentive to keep tipping and reaching new wallets / users usdc won't stay, forcing a token to be tipped won't win either what wins is when you give a user freedom to tip whatever they believe in

I agree with USDC part. It likely won’t fade away, but rather evolve into broader use cases like donations or fundraising. However, I don’t think it's accurate to call airdrops of non-stablecoin tokens "tipping" or "micropayment". These are better understood as community-building mechanisms. They're less about immediate appreciation and more about incentivizing early participation.

100% agree with this take and I believe we need to have both existing. I chose to keep it restricted to native token + USDC on the chain I support because I believe devs / creators who join want to receive support, not be airdropped tokens If the wallet on FC is upgraded or once CBW is fully on, maybe I can build an auto swap feature.
