On a trip I took, I made two truly good friends.
I promised that whenever I go back there, I’ll visit them. I don’t know what exactly God has placed in these animals that makes them so lovable.
It’s as if God has placed kindness and warmth in them- completely selflessly. Just one look, a little wag of their tail, or even their quiet presence beside you. Brings a peace that can’t be compared to anything else.
Sometimes I feel like they understand the meaning of unconditional love. Better than many of us do.
They don’t expect anything, they don’t judge. They simply exist, simply love, simply stay with you…
I don’t currently have the connections to keep a dog, but I’m sure that if one day I can, I won’t just have a pet- I’ll have a true friend. A friend who, with just one look, takes the tiredness of the day away. And whose presence makes your world more peaceful and kind…
