Conversational data is centralised - for now at least, a few concerns made us postpone that decision. Proof of work and records of contribution are automatically available on IPFS (Ceramic in the roadmap) + you can put them on-chain via Govrn protocol (other providers and integrations in the works).

Slack is siloed while Avenue works more like a network of contributors, allowing them to automatically record the work they do. It’s kind of like GitHub meets Slack for any work, not just tech

We launched Avenue in a public beta last Friday (https://avenue.place) - feels like slap bang what you need. Keep discussions in rooms with relevant people only, submit units of work into relevant places, get mint contributions and (soon) get payed for the work you've done.

Outcomes and the automatic actions they run are not new on Avenue: you can issue contributions, soon you’ll be able to pay contributors, etc. Focus on what you do best, we handle the rest.

Shipping work is done through Outcomes - if you use GitHub, they’re just like PRs. This Outcome targeted the Development hub and after a little bit of back and forth it was approved: https://i.imgur.com/VTGVGIb.jpg

Each Homebase has hubs (aka guilds, teams, projects, etc). Our team immediately started to get things done there. Most of the work happens in Rooms, which is where our engineers got together to finish their update and ship it to our (private) Development hub: https://i.imgur.com/1NmJI6j.jpg
