I’ve lived with ADHD since childhood and this is a good description of my career. I’ve learned to trust my inner authority over anything external and understand my rhythms. While sometimes it’s led to burnout, that’s just another form of feedback for where to direct my focus.

I think it depends on my internal weather. If I'm feeling overwhelmed focusing on one thing helps. If I'm feeling understimulated multiple is better.

I have found that multi-dimensional approaches to many tasks keeps me feeling engaged in a way where life doesn't feel dull and formulaic. Also seems to give inherent meaning and theme in an existential kinda way. Maybe I have this. Cheers Daddy @mcbain

Absolutely. I have about 6 different hobbies in addition to my full time job and they end up informing each other and creating more cool shit than just focusing on one thing. My brain needs that constant vibration and tension. I'm trouble when I'm bored.

ADHD is not an issue just as overthinking is not, or OCD . Society has given them negative labels they used to be an advantage. Attention to detail. Blame dsm V, the mental illness bible. 197 illnesses 97% no scientific basis whatsoever

Mine has taught me thaty bed is something I get on once I finish all my work. If I lie down, I am done for the day so prolonging when I get there means increasing productivity. Soemdays it really is just about doing it even when you don't want to. Push yourself because no one else will.
