I'm taking my 7 year old son to Farcon! His name is Harrison. My goal for this week is for him to have fun and learn how to better talk to adults and be part of the conversation, not just pivot it to Minecraft lol Also he has to write a report for school What other ideas/goals/quests do you have for Harry?

You could give him a disposable camera or some way to take pictures… his mission can be to take photos with different ppl from the event Collect their names and an interesting fact about them, the catch is that no two ppl can have the same fact (deeper convos) He could create a photo book after as a way to reflect

It’ll help with learning about the ebbs and flows of conversation… Work on various prompts before going, or he can have a list of predetermined questions that he can fall back on when he feels stuck. This could help with reducing the anxiousness of getting into a situation and not knowing what to say
