lots of greens (kale, spinach, spicy mustard, arugula) with nasturtiums in the foreground; they help bring the bees once they bloom and as a bonus, draw the aphids from the edibles!

First time really growing anything. But most likely because there are 12 plants so that’s probably over 100 total. Overplanted basically everything. Just replanted about 30 squash because they are so expansive, seems like they need 2 ft of spacing. Companion planted marigolds w/

Nice πŸ‘ I’m focused on salad greens, (w/ the ecpetion of cilantro arugala) until the fall. The insects are relentless. Harvested the kale from January just in time with the help of neem oil blend/ spray. Peep the radishes

Thanks πŸ™ Kale is such a good one. The dish soap spray works pretty well. Also neem oil spray and a dusting of cayenne is good. I had slugs, aphids and finally cabbage worms which were the most aggressive, i heard that BT (Bacillus thuringiensis)is the best for worms / caterpillars. The slugs are pretty easy to keep away with a salt perimiter outside the beds.

Yeah they suck. If you can spot them and pick β€˜em off that probably works but very tedious. I threw in the towel pretty quick when then went after my kale. Luckily it was about ready to pick.
