One reason that I have been enjoying using Farcaster is that I like interacting with tech people as they are generally not the type of people in my existing personal networks. They inhabit a very different world, think about different things, communicate in different fashion etc. That’s interesting to me intellectually and also helps gives me a broader perspective. We all have different strengths, character traits, and life experiences. It’s good for cross-disciplinary relationships to emerge so that we can leverage our respective strengths to various positive social ends. One of the major problems in society is siloization of expertise along with cultural polarization. There should be a harmonious and constructive synthesis between the tech world and the world of civil society and culture.

Have you considered learning programming (i'm presuming you haven't yet). Since now LLM models are very capable, some basic understanding can take you a long way.

Has been very interesting to see the founders mentality which seems to predominate the fc eco for better or worse. Wonder if the tech slant might be off putting to some others though

Greatly appreciate all your thoughtful and insightful observations, Murtaza. Your comment on the siloization of expertise along with cultural polarization is spot on. We could all stand to better embrace our spectrums and recognize the overlap in our interests and expertise.

Few of us are new to this network, but I have to say, it's interesting! Totally agree with you, even if day by day I am working with programmers on my professional work.
