Probably the best news is the people didn’t dislike me, personally - ostensibly they each just have incredibly poor taste in people. We were doomed from the start since there was thus pre-existing agenda innit that only serves 1. Now that I’ve dried my tears, I’m glad I got out—with my self-respect intact, too, and most of what was in my wallet. Rejection as protection: the jester’s candy. 🍭
