Right but I am wondering if there's a ballpark supply you have in mind and what benefit you get out of the scarcity. Collections on /tortoise have a supply of 10,000 but I don't think any will sell out any time soon and I don't see a benefit for lowering the supply

totally agree - it should be a niche thing. I don’t believe there is a big market for lots of people paying $1 for a song which is what you need for the abundance model to work. I *do* believe there’s a small but passionate market of people who will spend $50 on a limited edition and connection to the artist + status + extras.

This makes sense as a niche thing to me, like how there are limited edition vinyls. I don’t see how collecting a limited edition is much more of a meaningful exchange than collecting an unlimited edition tho. Not trying to be right here btw just curious about your perspective. If you like an artist wouldn’t you want as many people to support them as possible?

depends on the artist. It could be 10 editions or 500 depending on how they structure it and what demand they have. The benefit of low supply is it actually becomes a collector’s item making it a meaningful exchange for both the artist and collector. Just my personal preference by the way - the market is fully telling me I’m wrong bc this model has not been able to work!
