I think new singers often get judged too harshly. People have this idea that it’s a skill you either have naturally or you don’t, but it’s actually common for someone to be terrible at it for a long time before figuring it out, just like any other instrument

Yep I first started learning when I was 13 but mostly stopped for over a decade shortly after because I was judged so much

singing can 100% be learned, it takes a bit of training, but it’s definitely possible

i think the stigma around “bad singing” is why people think you can’t learn it, because every time they try to sing they get judged !

Agreed, I've got such a long way to go as a singing, but been singing live for 5 years. When I started, for me it was 90% confidence to just put myself out there.

people don't talk about this often enough. new artists are STILL figuring stuff out. we need to cut them some slack.
