Having real conversations, with real people. 

Optimizing for connection and not attention.

Does that end up looking like finding a way to reward users who have multiple interactions with a consistent FID?

I think it will too, FC team is goated, platform dynamics cater to anyone to carve out a lane and find similar people - something literally every other "social" platform sucks at 

And every week there's new things to play, chat and connect

I def agree with you, and have heard that sentiment several times. You can either encourage the result you want, or discourage the opposite. I’m just trying to figure out what is the quantifiable result we want to promote.
