@matthewb's hi-fi threads have really inspired me to improved my listening experience at home it's not hi-fi and it's all the equipment i already had and i already knew i was using them suboptimally and i knew exactly how but just didn't care until i got the inspiration from matthew's threads

instead of routing spotify to alexa and having the krk monitors blast into the air i'm downloading WAV/AIFF, putting them on the USB and playing on the opus quad and then sit right in the focal point of the krks it's crazy how much of a difference it's made not sure if there are other low hanging fruits https://warpcast.com/kia/0x1630790c

okay sick, nice moves. would be curious to see a photo of your setup from the listening position, are the monitors on stands?

looks weird to sit in front them but sounds great there are these tiny anglers that point them straight to where my head would be sitting in front of the desk (rather than standing)

okay sick, looks great. you already improved the source, so that's a good first step. you can consider better D/A conversion but that's $$$$+. one potential low-hanging improvement you could try would be beefier supports for the monitors, not sure how sturdy these are at present. something like isoacoustics aperta could be good. are these rokit 5 monitors?

looks pretty sturdy already, but you could try some isoacoustics 200 stands and see what it sounds like: https://isoacoustics.com/home-audio-isolation-products/aperta-series/ I like the aperta ones because they have metal arms instead of plastic, but the cheaper ones are good too. you can also try balanced interconnects and see if there's any improvement vs. RCA. typically balanced is only mission critical for very long runs but it's hard to say, some components sound better single-ended or balanced. for cables I would stick with something like mogami gold (or platinum if feeling fancy). I also have some ideas for DACs but that's a whole other rabbit hole lmao.

these are sick will look into re: D/A do you think any D/A would improve the quality or just high end stuff? also how where do these monitors sit in terms of sound quality?
