my least favourite vibe is anyone giving off “you’re not important enough to talk to” and constantly looking around for someone better

you truly never know where someone will end up, who they will become, etc. but what is certain is that they will remember you not taking them seriously.

I think what’s funny is that even from a “social climber” point of view it’s in your best interest to be kind and open-minded to everyone you come across, but as you point out this should be the default anyway.

this should be default, nothing worse than watching someone go from disinterested to fascinated upon finding out someone is more socially valuable than they originally thought
