Meanwhile, they’re watching many of their male counterparts celebrate and put in power assholes like Donald Trump, who actively want to deprive them of equality and the very rights they’re fighting for! 😤

That feels dismissive. The reality is, social media didn’t invent the issues women care about, it just amplified them. imo, women aren’t moving left because it’s trendy; they’re moving left because conservatives keep attacking their rights, dismissing their concerns, and trying to drag them back to the 1950s.

I think it’s primarily ingroup signaling. 

Those issues you brought up would definitely come up as self reported reasons for it, and it is true for some % but I’m skeptical that they are genuine drivers for most

The one that you said that I do agree is a genuine primary driver is social media amplifying those things and establishing clear guidelines about the opinions you’re supposed to have
